It was an absolute pleasure to experience my first trip to the Lake District. It definitely lived up to the hype. I probably didn’t pick the best time of year to visit (in the middle of winter) but it was still awe inspiring.
It rained for 90% of my visit but managed to get a few gaps in the cloud to take some pictures.
The spot me and my Dad visited was Derwent Water.
This shot was taken before the sun came up. It was raining quite heavily so I used my HOYA ND100 filter to allow for a longer exposure to smooth out the water and create some drama in the shot.
This shot shows the Jetty under water. There have been some horrific floods in the North of England recently so the water levels were quite high.
The next spot we moved onto was Buttermere. The journey there was breathtaking. Some of the hills and roads were jaw dropping!
