Cokin Nuances ND 1024

Dave ZdanowiczReview

I was very kindly given this new 10 stop ND filter to test this month whilst on my travels. Any one who follows my photograph will know that I’m a big fan of using ND filters to create a dramatic and ethereal effect to my photographs.

This is first product from COKIN that I have used for a consistent amount of time and I was really impressed with the product. The filter had very little colour casting which is essential when using a ND filter of this strength. It meant that the original colours in the sky were retained and very little white balance correction was needed (shoot in raw to make this easier)

The product was really well boxed and one of the bonuses is that it came with a variety of ring adaptors which meant I could use the filter with every lens in my kit bag. The product also came with a soft case which was perfect for protecting the filter when not in use.

Here are some examples I took whilst on my travels.
